The Vynes Retirement Properties

The Vynes is a small retirement park of just 27 Park Homes located within walking distance of the bustling town of Leighton Buzzard, yet on the doorstep of beautiful open countryside.

All our Park Homes enjoy a private garden with on-plot parking for one car. Residents are permitted to keep one small dog at The Vynes (subject to the prior approval of McFarland Park & Leisure)

The Local Area

Leighton Buzzard is a traditional market town, which has managed to retain its unique history & character whilst still meeting the demands of a busy town in the 21st century. With its combination of historic buildings & modern shopping mews set against the backdrop of the Grand Union Canal, Leighton Buzzard has something to please everyone.


There are bus stops close to The Vynes with routes serving the local area. There is a major supermarket within walking distance of the park & a short drive or bus ride will take you to the centre of Leighton Buzzard & its array of restaurants, cafés & shops.


There is a bus stop at the Park entrance which provides a service to Luton. Residents can also easily travel into London via excellent rail connections or venture further afield from nearby Luton Airport. The M1 motorway is easily accessed from junction 10, which is a short drive away.


The Vynes is only about 15 miles away from the major towns of Milton Keynes & Aylesbury, where you will find an excellent choice of high street shops, local independent retailers, restaurants, cafés & bars.

Places of Interest to Visit Locally

Leighton Buzzard street market – Bedfordshire’s premier street market is held in the centre of the town every Tuesday & Saturday, & every month there is a Farmer’s Market.


Leighton Buzzard Railway – One of the only two-foot gauge railway lines that are still operational today including dozens of steam engines to see & a museum to visit.


Woburn Abbey & Safari Park – A unique & historic stately home of the Duke of Bedford & wonderful family attraction set in 3000 glorious acres of deer park.


Bletchley Park – Historic site of secret British code-breaking activities during WWII & birthplace of the modern computer.
